Portsmouth board pleads with fans to stick with club

Portsmouth's board have pleaded to fans to stick with the club in the wake of Paul Hart's sacking.

Portsmouth fans are fearful over the club's attempts to retain their place in the top-flight but director Mark Jacob has urged them to rally behind the team - starting with the big clash against Manchester United on Saturday.

"We want everyone to stick together and cheer the team on Saturday," he said. "We want that 12th man supporting us. Manchester United haven't got a very good record at Fratton Park, so let's make sure that continues. We need everybody pulling in the same direction."
