Sevilla coach Jose Luis Mendilibar was delighted with their 5-1 rout of Almeria last night.

Mendilibar concedes he went into the game under some pressure and was delighted with his players' response.

He said, “Before a game you never think it will turn out like this. We were successful in the first actions, we went 2-0 early and that weighed on Almería.

“We have had a better streak of play, not so much of results, since the game against Girona. This time we were successful in front of goal and that gave us life to be more aggressive later. The result often gives you the power to do more things."

On new signing Dodi Lukebakio, who was among the goalscorers, Mendilibar enthused: “He has the spark, the speed, he faces and can play everywhere. We demand the same from the rest, we cannot complain about any of them, because we have won because everyone has been very good in their positions."
