Manchester United can beat Bayern Munich on Tuesday to keep their European season alive.

The Red Devils are in serious danger of finishing bottom of their Champions League group.

They must beat Bayern and then hope Copenhagen and Galatasaray draw in the other group game to progress to the knockout stages.

"What I know is I never think in negative scenarios," said manager Erik Ten Hag pre-game.

“We think positive. We know what to do - we have to win to stay in Europe, so we'll prepare the team with that belief, that feeling that we are able to do it.

“I think we have shown in the last weeks that, when we are at our best, we can do it."

“We are not consistent, that's clear, but we can have very good performances and highs," added Ten Hag.

"When we get it, we are able to beat any opponent.

“The game against Chelsea, the game against Everton, the game against Galatasaray. I know this team can perform at really high levels. But it starts with the right attitude. We have to work on that.

"It's my responsibility to set the team up and to prepare the team. If we are all on one page, stick together and have a good plan, there we go and we can beat any opponent.

“Old Trafford is not a nice place to come for an opponent. But we know it starts with us. There is a very strong bond between the team and the fans, they are always behind us, even when we have setbacks. But we know it starts with us. We have to take the responsibility and energize the fans."
