Brighton & Hove Albion are expecting Jesse Lingard to remain with the club until the very end of the season.
The 21-year old attacking midfielder has been impressive during his loan spell from Manchester United, scoring two goals in 13 outings, and helping the Seagulls to the periphery of the Championship's top six in the process.
Lingard's loan includes the promotion playoff series - if Brighton happen to make it - and assistant coach Nathan Jones believes he will remain for the entirety even after this week's sacking of United manager David Moyes.
"He's on loan here until the end of the season. I'm sure they will honour that," Jones said of Lingard who netted six times on loan for Birmingham City earlier this season.
"I don't think they are going to drag him back, but he's a fantastic player. I'm sure he has a big future at Man United."
