Arsenal due cut from Marseille fee for Guendouzi sale

Former Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi could be set to earn his old side more money.

The Gunners are set to spend big in the January transfer window, and Guendouzi may have an indirect impact on that spending.

Per The Mirror, Guendouzi is likely to leave Ligue 1 side Marseille this winter or next summer.

The defensive midfielder, who has matured since his time at Arsenal ended in a row with manager Mikel Arteta, is heading back to the Premier League.

Aston Villa are among the teams with an interest in the young dynamic midfielder.

The source adds that Marseille would accept a fee of around €40 million, which is welcome news from Arsenal's perspective as they were shrewd enough to insert a sell-on clause of 15 per cent in Guendouzi's Marseille deal which looks set to already come in handy.
