France coach Didier Deschamps expects more to come from Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram.

Thuran has impressed in his first months as an Inter player this season.

Deschamps said, "He is still young, he has a lot of possibilities to improve himself. I told him, after what his father Lilian told him, that a striker is there mainly to score goals in Italy.

"He is the one who measures his effectiveness and must make sure that he is as high as possible. He is truly positioned on the axis, he has freedom in Inter's 3-5-2."
