Brand says Chelsea players up for U18 Premier League Cup final against Fulham

Chelsea meet Fulham tonight at Craven Cottage in the U18 Premier League Cup final.

Chelsea have not beaten Fulham this season with a 4-4 draw being the scoreline in the first encounter earlier in the league campaign and a 2-0 loss in the most recent meeting.

"We have used a number of players in this competition across the age groups and they can all be proud that they have played a major part in how we have got to this final," Chelsea U18 coach Ed Brand told the club's website.

"From players who predominantly have been with the Under-16s and other squad members who have featured for the Under-23s, having the trust to call upon any player dependent on availability has truly made my job easier."

Brand has called upon the likes of Charlie Webster and Lewis Hall who both have Under-23 minutes under their belt, with the latter even making his first team senior debut. Noah Hay has also featured in this competition despite being with the Under-16s for most of the season.

"We were very disappointed as a team not to make it to the final of the FA Youth Cup as with a lead going into the final five minutes of our semi-final, it was not far-fetched to assume that we could see this game out.

"With this in mind, we will come into this game highly motivated to put out a performance worthy of champions with the ultimate aim of bringing the trophy back to Cobham. Cup finals are one-off games, and anything can happen so we must be prepared."
