Barcelona concern as Dembele forced off in derby with Man Utd showdown looming

Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele was forced off during victory at Girona on Saturday.

He was substituted off in the first half of the 1-0 win.

The Frenchman went down holding his left leg and asked to be substituted off, with Pedri coming on for him.

He has a long history of injury issues, but hasn't had a physical issue since November 2021.

At half time, the Catalan club stated that the Frenchman had a quadriceps injury in his left leg and that tests that will be carried out on the player when he returns to Barcelona.

Seeing how he limped when he returned to the bench, the injury does not look good and the reports are that he'll miss two to three weeks.

That means he might not be back in time for the Manchester United Europa League playoff first leg on February 16.
