Former Manchester United boss Wilf McGuinness has jumped to the defence of David Moyes.
McGuinness knows just how difficult it is to follow in the footsteps of a legendary figure, having succeeded Sir Matt Busby in 1969 - only to lose his job 18 months later.
"He's far more experienced than I was when I got the job," McGuinness told the Manchester Evening News.
"I think he's quite capable of getting it right after an indifferent start. He's an experienced man and he will be fine. That's part of life that the team doesn't always click right away. But he's a very good manager and he will turn it around."
