Cardiff have turned down an offer from Burnley for young striker Isaak Davies.
The forward is a key target for Clarets boss Vincent Kompany this summer.
The Wales Under-21 star was outstanding last season, but has not played yet this term due to a knee injury disrupting his pre-season.
According to WalesOnline, a £2.5 million bid has been turned down by Cardiff.
The club want to hold onto Davies for at least one more season.
They believe the 20-year-old can progress to a level that attracts Premier League suitors.
However, Burnley are likely to come in with another offer as well.
