The Belgian has been out of favour at Palace, and could be the type of backup target man Jose Mourinho wants at Spurs.

The 29-year-old has a poor scoring return in recent seasons, but Mourinho will back himself to get the best out of Benteke.

He would offer Spurs a different option to the other players in their squad.
