Real Sociedad coach Imanol Alguacil defended his team selection after their 4-3 win against Getafe.

Imanol played a shadow team given their Champions League commitments.

"Sometimes football is like that," said the La Real coach. "It is the areas that decide the games and we have been a little more correct. And we have had the mental strength to turn the situation around and score the goals that have sometimes been doubted that this team has, but today we were right and we scored them.

“I am very happy for the victory."

He continued, "This is a team, but you cannot compare Urko with Zubimendi and Turrientes with Merino, because Zubimendi and Merino cannot be compared with anyone in this League. Urko and Beñat have done a tremendous job and those who have come out later have taken advantage of that great work. There is neither team A nor team B."

But he openly showed his disappointment over the number of goals Real Sociedad have conceded so far at the Reale Arena.

“It annoys me a lot, a lot, because last year this team won 80% of its games 1-0 and many times it was said that it was very difficult to score a goal against this team, because of how well they defended. And of course it worries me, because if we want to be where we are we cannot concede so much."
