Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo has admitted relief over his loan deal.
United and parent club Shanghai Shenhua have reached an agreement which will see the Nigerian remain at Old Trafford for the year.
“I was very afraid that this would not happen," Igalo told Sky Sports.
“Shanghai Shenhua wanted me to go back. They believe in me and know what I am capable of. I want to say thank you to the leadership of Shanghai for meeting me. Also, thanks to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for his perseverance. I will soon be 31 years old, playing for Manchester United is simply unbelievable for me.
"Soon I will finish with football, because of this I am doubly glad that I got to the 'Red Devils'. I want to enjoy every second I spend here."
