Wolves are making a move for Chicago Fire goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina.
Slonina was preparing to join Chelsea this summer, but the club's ownership wrangle and Petr Cech's departure as technical adviser has stalled the move.
Both Cech and former Blues keeper coach and scout Christophe Lollichon had recommended Slonina's signing.
But the uncertainty has opened the door to rival offers, says the London Evening Standard.
With Chelsea unable or unwilling to complete the deal, a host of other clubs have lined up to hijack their talks, with Real Madrid and Wolves among those known to be interested.
