Sheffield Wednesday have turned down an offer from Burnley for striker Marcus Tudgay.
The Mirror says Wednesday have rejected a £1.5million offer from Burnley for Tudgay but are bracing themselves for another bid.
The 26-year-old striker was poised to sign a new contract pre-season, having arrived from Derby for £250,000 in 2006.
Owls boss Brian Laws insists Tudgay will not leave on the cheap. But Tudgay's agent Darryl Powell said: "It's a fair price for someone with a year left on their contract and I'm not sure this is the end of it."
