Real Betis president Angel Haro is delighted with coach Manuel Pellegrini signing a new contract.

The Chilean has extended his previous deal from 2023 to 2025.

Haro said, "The two sides are very happy and really there is a very cordial relationship. This is something very positive for the project to continue on this path we are on.

"He is a magnificent example of the project. He is managing to bring together both the structure of the club and everything that has to do with the communion that exists between the fans and the players and what better way to show this.

"We wanted him to continue with us so we wanted to extend the contract he already had."
