Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain is fast emerging from the shadow of club legend Diego Maradona.

Higuain's winner against Carpi on Sunday was his 24th goal in 24 Serie A games.

And yesterday was also the sixth consecutive game in which Higuain had found the back of the net, which drew him level with Maradona' record for Napoli.

Higuain now has the chance to go clear of Maradona in Napoli's next game against Juventus.
