Manchester United will be relieved to know that defender Raphael Varane was only fatigued when he was substituted in the World Cup final.
Varane came off during extra-time of France's eventual penalty shootout loss to Argentina on Sunday.
He appeared to be limping in the 113th minute of the contest, and had to come off to be replaced by Ibrahima Konate.
While United fans had been fearing the worst, the Manchester Evening News states that Varane was simply out of energy and cramping.
The Red Devils will be hoping that Varane can go on a short holiday and then return to Carrington to help the team with the resumption of the club season.
