The midfielder is seen by the Red Devils as one of the alternatives to Mason Mount.

United are hoping to secure the Chelsea midfielder, but have reached an impasse in negotiations.

ESPN states that United are assessing Booth, Mohammed Kudus (Ajax), and Moises Caicedo (Brighton).

The latter would be the most expensive of the options that United are considering.

Booth and Kudus would be a lot more affordable, given Eredivisie clubs are not in as strong a financial position as English teams.
