Everton are in talks with departing Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero.
The 34-year-old will be a free agent at the end of the month when his Manchester United contract expires, with the club not set to renew his deal.
The Athletic reports talks are underway with Everton, but there is also interest in Europe, including from Juventus and Celta Vigo.
Everton attempted to bring him in on a loan last season, but the £2m loan fee did not meet United's valuation of £5m.
The Toffees see Romero as someone who could challenge Jordan Pickford as the first-choice between the sticks, with it likely that Robin Olsen will return to Italy after his loan spell from Roma.
