Brighton forward Glenn Murray says their 1-1 draw with Newcastle is a huge step forward in the push for Premier League safety.
Pascal Gross's second-half header from Glenn Murray's cushioned assist cancelled out Ayoze Perez's first-half effort on the south coast to mean the spoils were shared, and the striker reflected positively on the stalemate.
He said, “It's an important point that could prove to be massive as we're edging towards safety.
“We feel as though our goal difference is big - it's nice to get ourselves on the scoresheet, we created a lot more today and got balls into the box.
“We showed good character to recover from a goal down, given the way things have been going recently, and we came out fighting in the second half."
