Atalanta attacker Josip Ilicic: Historic Champions League point not enough

Atalanta attacker Josip Ilicic admitted frustration after their 1-1 draw with Champions League opponents Manchester City.

It marked the Oribici's first ever Champions League point.

“We knew we were up against a strong team and had to wait for our moment. We could've done more and won it after the red card, but they showed their experience," Ilicic told Sky Sport Italia.

“I thought it we scored from that free kick, the game would be over. It's disappointing those final 10 minutes, as they just kept the ball and didn't want to run any risks.

“Considering the way it went, we were actually disappointed not to beat Manchester City. It's an important point for us and it has to push us on to do better.

“We have to focus on our Serie A games, then try to do our best against Dinamo Zagreb and Shakhtar."
