Wigan Athletic have named Kolo Toure as new manager.

Toure leaves his coaching role at Leicester City for the top position at the Latics.

He has signed a Wigan contract that extends to the summer of 2026.

"We are very pleased that Kolo has become the new manager for Wigan Athletic Football Club and the board is pleased that he is the man who takes us forward," says Wigan's director Malachy Brannigan to the website.

Prior to his coaching role with Leicester, he was also assistant coach with the Ivorian national team and Celtic.
