West Ham boss Moyes: Not much to take from Brentford defeat

West Ham boss David Moyes admits they weren't at their best for defeat to Brentford.

Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa struck for the Bees in their 2-0 win.

Moyes said, "It was not a good day for us and not a performance we were pleased from. There is not much we can take from it.

"The first goal took the air out of us. It was similar to what we've done before so I am hugely disappointed with that. When you make the chances we did you can get the inconsistencies we got today, particularly in the first half.

"I was disappointed they scored from a long throw because we had worked on stopping it. I asked them to do better in the second half and I thought we got that. I wanted to get a grip of the game with the substitutions and it was important we didn't let the game run away with us."

On the disallowed goal, he lamented: "It was pretty poor. It doesn't sit right with me. I don't think it hits his hand.

"If anything it hits his shoulder, and certainly above the shirt sleeve line, and certainly with the distance.

"It was not conclusive that it hit his hand. Far from it."
