Sunderland boss Gus Poyet admits Danny Graham can still move on.
Graham featured in defeat to Tottenham on Saturday.
"Danny was outstanding, apart from not scoring a goal," Poyet commented. "He came on, he held the ball up, he ran about. It's something that we need.
"He's shown that from the moment he came back from the loan (at Wolverhampton Wanderers) and if he is like that he will get his chance.
"We (the coaching staff) don't have anything against anyone. It's about how you perform, how sharp you are and how much you deserve to play.
"If he's going to help us he's welcome."
