Former Aston Villa midfielder Thomas Hitzlsperger is confident new assistant manager Roy Keane will make a positive impact.
The Manchester United legend will work alongside manager Paul Lambert as his No2.
"I remember Roy as a great midfielder, that's for sure. He was a leader out there on the pitch, a superb captain for Man Utd and a very good player," Hitzlsperger told Villa's website.
"He's quite simply one of the best midfielders I came up against.
"Now, to have someone of his personality at the club is brilliant. If he's around the training pitch, you will certainly listen to what he's saying - alongside the manager Paul Lambert.
"He's proven himself in the game at the highest level. He will be quite an addition.
"He was great, great player. Anyone who saw him would know this.
"He has won so much in his career. He has that winning mentality. He knew what was required to get the victory.
