Fulham have tabled a bid for Rennes fullback Hamari Traore.

Cottagers boss Marco Silva is seeking to strengthen his defensive options, says Foot Mercato.

The 30-year-old has won 44 caps for Mali and is the brother of Hull City midfielder Adama Traore.

The Cottagers are flying high in seventh in the Premier League table but they still want to continue improving their squad in January with a right-back now the priority.

Fulham have also made enquiries for Roma's Rick Karsdorp, who is free to leave the Stadio Olimpico following a fallout with Jose Mourinho.

Norwich City's Max Aarons is also believed to be of interest to the Cottagers.
