Ex-Leeds boss Warnock warns against Bielsa rehire

Veteran football manager Neil Warnock has claimed that Leeds United re-hiring Marcelo Bielsa is not a good idea.

Many fans are hoping the Argentine coach returns to replace the sacked Jesse Marsch.

The American had taken over from Bielsa, who was sacked towards the end of last season with the team in danger of relegation.

"The only thing that they've got going forward them is that crowd," Warnock told talkSPORT.

"That crowd like Everton - it's hard to play at Everton, and it's the same at Elland Road.

"If they could get somebody that just gets that physical attribute out of them. The talent will come through, they've got to win their battles first.

"That's why I think somebody from abroad, I'm not sure there's time with what's left of the season to get someone else's interpretation. [Marcelo] Bielsa would be a disaster coming back.

"I think the players were desperate for him to leave when he left so I don't think that would be the answer for them."
