Chelsea and Tottenham are chasing Barcelona starlet Gai Assulin.

The Israel international midfielder is off contract in June and baulking at discussing new terms with Barca management.

Assulin is represented by Pini Zahavi, who has close ties to several Premiership clubs.

The Daily Star Sunday says Tottenham and Chelsea are ready to battle it out for the youngster in the New Year.
