England winger Jadon Sancho returned to Manchester United's matchday squad for their Carabao Cup clash against Nottingham Forest.

The Red Devils are through to the final of the League Cup, defeating Forest 2-0 at Old Trafford and 5-0 on aggregate.

Sancho came off the bench for a cameo appearance in the second half, continuing his comeback from fitness and personal issues.

Manager Erik ten Hag had previously stated that Sancho was taking his time to gain his fitness before he would be part of the team.

Speaking in January, Ten Hag said, “He is training with the team and we will see. He's improving, he's making steps and we will make the decision after training.

“I said he's on the way back, he's making steps, he's back in team training and we have to see when he's ready to go back into game."
