Perisic sleeps at Spurs Lodge to complete Tottenham move

Tottenham are set to close a deal for Inter Milan wing-back Ivan Perisic today.

The Croatian, who won the league under Tottenham manager Antonio Conte at Inter Milan in 2020/21, is said to have stayed at Spurs overnight on Sunday in view of completing his move to the north London club on Monday.

The London Evening Standard reported that the player, who can play as a winger or left-wing back, will sign a two-year contract with Spurs on Monday.

Conte recently sought assurances from Spurs that they would back him adequately in the market, leading to a subsequent meeting that ended with the Italian committing to remain at Spurs for the forthcoming season.

The club also recently announced an injection of £150m into the club from Tottenham Hotspur Limited, with the north London side releasing a statement saying the money was to be invested "on and off the pitch".
