Moggi unconvinced by Juventus: Beating Lecce wasn't about excellent football

Former Juventus director general Luciano Moggi was left unimpressed by their defeat of Lecce.

Juve won 1-0 on Tuesday via Arek Milik's strike.

Assessing the performance, Moggi stated: "This success is indicative of a combination, which allowed Juventus to shoot once and score only one goal. It is certainly not indicative of excellent football.

"However, the important thing was to win and Juventus won. If I expected a bad match against Lecce? I'm happy for the victory, but I'm sorry for the boos: this is the team."

Moggi added: "I clearly said that the team was not conceived well, despite having some valuable players. This is not the fault of the coach, but it is not the fault of the others either. But the problem is that they just don't know how to play the game: Juve also suffers against opponents like Lecce..."
