Derby have been rebuffed in a move for Blackburn keeper Frank Fielding. Rams boss Nigel Clough is looking for cover for Stephen Bywater now that second-choice keeper Saul Deeney could be out for up to six weeks after suffering a freak injury in the build-up to the game at Swansea.

Clough tried to sign Fielding in the summer and has now missed out on the Rovers keeper again.

"They (Blackburn) have knocked us back. They do not want to let him out at the moment, so we are exploring other options," said Clough.
