Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish admits he's still weighing up whether to offer terms to West Ham midfielder Nigel Quashie.

"Quashie is still training with us, on-going," McLeish told the Birmingham Mail.

"We'll try to get him to a level of fitness before we make a commitment there and we're looking at one or two other situations. I don't want to name the names in case nothing happens but we do have to improve things.

"Quashie's in pole position and he has looked good.

"He's definitely a player who would enhance our squad if he can prove his fitness."
