Chelsea defender Rudiger: CWC can wait - full focus must be on Plymouth

Chelsea defender Toni Rudiger says the players are fresh after their winter break.

The Blues are back at Stamford Bridge for the first outing in 13 days as they welcome Plymouth Argyle to south-west London for a fourth-round FA Cup tie.

"It was a tough period but you know when you sign for this club how busy the schedule is," Rudiger reflected on the frenetic festive calendar.

"A break is always good but for me personally, we could also have kept going if we needed to because you always have to be on your toes and ready.

"First of all, we have a job to do in the FA Cup against Plymouth, which we have to have full focus on and start very well. After that there's the FIFA Club World Cup and we have to be on our toes for that as well.

"Everyone had a good break so we are all fresh and you can see in training that everyone is motivated. We just have to keep going game by game trying to win all the time."
