Dutch great Wesley Sneijder has warned Liverpool against a move for Ajax defender Jurrien Timber.

Timber is being linked with the Reds amid claims his girlfriend has been house-hunting on Merseyside this past week.

But Sneijder has questioned Liverpool's interest.

He said on Veronica Offside: "He is a smart guy and a really good defender.

"But he would lose all heading duels. And in England, against those centre-forwards in the Premier League, that would be his downfall."

Holland international Timber stands at 1.79m tall.
