Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti admits they're pondering re-signing Rayo Vallecano fullback Fran Garcia.

The left-back came through La Fabrica but only made one appearance for the senior team before moving across the city to Vallecas.

The 23-year-old has been impressing for Rayo this season in LaLiga Santander and his return is being openly discussed by Los Blancos' staff and directors, says Marca.

Many, including Carlo Ancelotti, believe that Garcia should be in the Real Madrid first team from July 2023.

And ahead of Thursday's Copa del Rey quarterfinal against Atletico Madrid, Ancelotti said: "The squad has been finalised until June.

"He's a player who came through the youth academy and we're assessing him and we'll take decisions on that at the end of the season".
