Chelsea are focusing on central defence as they wait for Todd Boehly's takeover to be completed.
The £4.25billion sale of Chelsea to a US consortium led by tycoon Boehly is expected to be approved by the UK Government in the next 24 hours.
The Telegraph says Chelsea are planning to move quickly in the transfer window once the club to given the green light to resume business, with Jules Kounde (Sevilla) and Josko Gvardiol (RB Leipzig) both near the top of their list of defensive targets.
Boss Thomas Tuchel has his work cut out for him this summer as he needs to replace Antonio Rudiger, who is heading to Real Madrid, and Andreas Christensen who is joining Barcelona. He may also have the exits of both Cesar Azpilcueta and Marcos Alonso to deal with.
