Espanyol midfielder Denis Suarez: Celta Vigo knew what they were doing to me was illegal

Espanyol midfielder Denis Suarez has hit out at former club Celta Vigo.

Suarez left Celta in January for Espanyol after a bitter 12 months rowing with president Carlos Mourino.

He recalled to El Larguero: "It is totally a lie that I have rejected offers or that I have asked the clubs for more money. I have not had any offer from Saudi Arabia of 12 million euros net, which was said. Who wouldn't have liked 12 million net from Saudi Arabia?

"Mistreated? Could be. They tried to separate me from the group, they made me run apart without being able to participate, but later I managed to rejoin the team because they were doing something that was not legal.

“I offered Celta to negotiate directly with me if they didn't want to have a relationship with my agents. I did not speak to Carlos Mouriño again. What I supposedly did is not let go of the people who have accompanied me since I was 13 years old. It's like my father telling me to leave my wife because he doesn't like her. "
