Michael Carrick led the Red Devils to UEFA Champions League qualification at the back end of the 2025/26 campaign and the former England international has invested in his squad over the summer.
However, there has also been a return for a familiar face, with Marcus Rashford brought back into his plans following an impressive loan spell at Barcelona in 2024/25.
Despite playing a key role in La Blaugrana's LaLiga title defence, the Catalans opted against activating a purchase clause on the 28-year-old, and he returned to Manchester earlier this month.
England's run to the 2026 FIFA World Cup semi-finals meant an extended summer break for Rashford and he's only played a limited role in United's preseason games.
Despite the noise around his return, Carrick has named him among the substitutes for today's clash at Hull, and he's been given the No.9 shirt following Rasmus Hojlund's exit.
If Rashford is called upon at the MKM Stadium it will be his first Untied appearance since December 2024.
