Manchester United are open to allowing Marcus Rashford to reintegrate back into the side.

Rashford has two years remaining on his current contract at Old Trafford and having registered 138 goals and 79 assists across 426 appearances for the club, many fans still want him to return to the side despite his recent troubles.

The 28 year old spent last season at Barcelona, helping the side lift the La Liga title and bagging 14 goals and 14 assists in the process. 

As the World Cup continues and Rashford represents England on the international stage, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the forward who may be set to stay in the Premier League. 

Manchester United had direct contact with Rashford camp, amicable talks with #MUFC. 

“Man Utd open to welcoming Rashford back to training and Marcus open to start pre-season under Carrick. 

“No guarantee he stays yet with eventual bids to be considered later on but important step to rebuild trust.” 

Rashford has been linked with a handful of club’s after his move to Barcelona collapsed. League rivals Tottenham have been named as one of the sides interested, but his £40M release clause is seen as a hurdle. 

England face DR Congo in their first knockout game on Wednesday night and Rashford’s future will be on his mind heading into the clash as he ponders whether he should stay with United.
