Rashford shone as part of an impressive season-long loan spell at Barcelona last season with 14 goals scored in all competitions as the Catalans held onto their LaLiga title.
However, there’s been little movement over a permanent deal between all parties, after Barca opted against activating their £26m clause to keep him in Spain, and they have since completed a bold €70M deal to bring in Rashford's England teammate Anthony Gordon.
Gordon’s arrival has seemingly put the brakes on a bid for Rashford, as Barca continue to balance their finances, and Premier League clubs have been quoted £40M for a possible sale.
That’s caused frustration amongst interested domestic rivals with Tottenham rumoured to be monitoring the situation if United lower their demands and Rashford decreases his salary.
Roberto De Zerbi is on the hunt for a new attacker, but only if it fits into Spurs’ budget, but Rashford has reportedly told his advisors he’s not interested in a move to North London as he continues to prioritise going back to Barca.
The latest from Barcelona is of the club being willing to offer another loan, which United do not want, but Teamtalk.com claim Hansi Flick is prepared to play the long game over the situation.
Barcelona are confident Rashford will exert enough pressure to persuade United to offer them a favourable deal and they could wait until the end of August before submitting any offers for the 28-year-old.
