Spain winger Nico Williams has signed a new 10-year contract with Athletic Bilbao this week as he brutally rejects Barcelona for the second time. "When decisions have to be made, for me, what weighs most is the heart. I'm where I want to be, with my people, this is my home," said Williams who stays loyal to the side.
Now, journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that the La Liga giants are about to step up their interest for the Colombian who has said in the past that it would be a dream come true to play for the Catalan side.
“Barcelona are planning new approach for Luis Diaz in the next days/weeks after Nico deal off.
“Liverpool already closed doors to both Barça and FC Bayern in the recent weeks; not an easy one.
“Marcus Rashford also remains still keen on Barça move.”
Barcelona star Dani Olmo was recently spotted speaking to Diaz whilst in Ibiza, he stated that Diaz is an excellent talent and his side should always have the best players available.
“He’s a great person. He’s a world-class player, and Barça should have the best players. He’s proven it. He’s a world-class striker and winger, there’s no doubt about that.”
However, The tragic passing of Diogo Jota has significantly affected the English club, making it an unsuitable time to open any negotiations. The Reds are unlikely to be ready to start discussing transfers any time soon, especially not for a winger who they will be desperate to keep after such a tragic loss.
