Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland and Vinicius Junior have kept up the pace in what is an incredible contest for the World Cup Golden Boot this year.
Vinicius Junior is now just one goal behind Messi in the standings after bagging a brace against Scotland this week in what was a ruthless performance.
The Real Madrid star did make it 2-0 with a rare header in first-half stoppage time before Matheus Cunha scored Brazil's third on the hour mark.
Speaking after the game, the winger revealed that Ancelotti said such a goal seemed impossible for the 25 year old who rarely uses his head.
"I'm not worried about the numbers, but rather about doing my job as best as possible to help the Selecao," Vinicius told SporTV.
"I am very happy with the goals, today there was even a header, which I had promised the coach I would score and he said it was kind of impossible and that he would pay me a gift. So I'll wait."
Vinícius also became the fifth Brazilian to score in each of the team's three World Cup group games, joining Jairzinho (197), Romario (1994) and the pairing of Ronaldo and Rivaldo (both in 2002).
The Selecao now is preparing for the round of 32 as they aim to go all the way and lift a 6th World Cup.
