AC Milan could reignite their pursuit of Rasmus Hojlund after Victor Boniface’s proposed transfer from Bayer Leverkusen collapsed due to a failed medical.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Boniface, 24, will head back to Germany after remarkably failing his medical ahead of his potential move to AC Milan.

The Italian giants remain in the market for a new strike this summer, however, and have been heavily linked with a move for Hojlund, 22.

Hojlund has found himself in a precarious position at Man United following the arrival of £74 million man Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.

Current Serie A holders Napoli are also interested in the Denmark international, who is said to be keen on a return to the Italian top flight.
