Fernandes had the opportunity to leave United this summer when the Saudi Pro League stepped up their interest in the Portuguese international, who has not shied away from rumours linking him away from the club.
However, the 31-year-old was clear that he wished to remain at Old Trafford for the entire 2025/26 season as he signed a contract extension.
In Saudi Arabia, both Al Hilal and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr are ready to make a move as United slowly continue to head down hill under manager Ruben Amorim.
Now, journalist Fabrizio Romano has spoken to GIVEMESPORT about how Fernandes is committed to The Red Devils, despite constant transfer gossip.
"Nothing at all at the moment. Full focus on United, new deal was signed one year ago, so nothing concrete at this stage. Saudis remain interested as they've been for the last three years but nothing else now."
Fernandes is reportedly earning around £375,000-a-week at Old Trafford, taking a huge chunk of United’s wage bill. If he left he could earn much more in the Saudi Pro League, possibly alongside former United winger and Portugal teammate Ronaldo.
Sources have claimed Saudi clubs are likely to try to tempt Fernandes to leave in January, but it is more likely that he will see the season out under Amorim, even if success is far from reach at the moment.
