City will look to move to the top of the Premier League table as they play their game in hand against Burnley, just days after beating league leaders Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.
Not since 2021 have Man City suffered a top-flight defeat in the month of April, and they will aim to continue such a record without the likes of Josko Gvardiol (tibial fracture), Rodri (Groin/Hip/Pelvic Injury) and Ruben Dias (ankle) as manager Pep Guardiola rotates his side.
City have won 14 of their last 15 Premier League meetings against Burnley by an aggregate score of 45-6 since losing 1-0 at Turf Moor in March 2015 and are firm favourites for the clash.
Burnley, who seem destined for relegation, are without Josh Cullen, Zeki Amdouni (both knee), Hannibal Mejbri, Jordan Beyer (both thigh) and Connor Roberts (calf) and Axel Tuanzebe (heel) for what will be a seriously tough clash.
A loss would confirm Burnley’s relegation after West Ham drew against Crystal Palace on Monday night as the club fight for survival this week.
The Cityzens have conceded just once across those four successive wins and are expected to pick apart Burnley even with 3 key players missing. Anything other than a win for City could hand Arsenal a much-needed title boost as all eyes turn to Wednesday’s game.
