City will be seeking to shrink the gap at the top of the table when they travel to Elland Road on the hunt for 3 points.
Pep Guardiola’s side sit 5 points behind Arsenal who are title favourites this season as they cruise to their first league triumph in over two decades.
However, with Arsenal not playing Chelsea on Sunday and City could put the fear in them with a win the day before, closing the gap to just 2 points.
Heading into the clash, City will be without Josko Gvardiol (Calf/Shin/Heel Injury) and Max Alleyne (other) in defence as Guardiola turns to Ruben Dias, Marc Guehi, Nico O'Reilly and Rayan Ait-Nouri to plug the gaps.
Elsewhere, Jeremy Doku (Calf/Shin/Heel Injury) and Mateo Kovacic (ankle / foot) are both out, with Guardiola giving a brief piece of team news on the Belgian ahead of the clash on Friday afternoon.
“Yesterday he made the first training,” he said when asked about Doku’s fitness.
“I don’t know (when he could be back), we’ll talk with the doctors and officials afterwards.”
City have conceded 2+ goals in just three of their 52 top-flight matches against newly-promoted sides as they aim to pick up an easy 3 points on paper and catch up to The Gunners this week.
