Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has made a move to ease multi-club concerns in the event of European qualification for next season.

If they win the Europa League final this term, Forest will qualify for the Champions League.

That would create an issue for Marinakis as his Greek club, Olympiakos, will be competing in the same competition next season.

As such, Marinakis has placed his Forest shares into a 'blind trust' to meet UEFA rules.

Documents filed at Companies House state Marinakis is no longer “a person with significant control” of Forest, replaced by three new directors.

Should either of his clubs fail to reach the Champions League, the Greek shipping magnate is clear to reverse the move.
