The Gunners will be hoping to move seven points clear at the summit when they travel to Molineux to face bottom of the Premier League Wolves on Wednesday night.
Team news
A 94th-minute own goal sealed a 2-1 victory for Arteta’s side two months ago, in a performance the Spaniard will want to forget. Arteta first spoke on team news after Ben White and Riccardo Calafiori picked up knocks at the weekend.
"(Calafiori) is fine. He was training with us today, he is feeling better and hopefully he is fit for tomorrow.
"(White) was just a bit of fatigue, obviously he did a lot in the game and by the end of it he was feeling a bit of tightness in the hamstring, but he is fine.
"(Martin Odegaard) for Wolves he is not going to be fit, but for Sunday we are very hopeful he can be with us. Kai (Havertz) is another one where the weekend is a possibility."
Why does Arteta believe his side can win the title?
Arsenal have won in only three of their last eight Premier League away matches, and victory is imperative to keep their title hopes alive. Questions next turned to the club's intense title race with Manchester City, and what his side has shown that makes him think they can go all the way.
"Because the position that we are in is a privilege. Seven or eight months is a long time to be where we are. We're going to embrace it. Tomorrow is going to be a really tough match.
"Well they give me the confidence that what we do up till now every single day, with the challenges that we have faced... not the things I imagined, but what I see every day."
Arteta is scared of a knock on the door
Arsenal duo Mikel Merino (foot) and Kai Havertz (muscle) remain sidelined with injuries alongside youngster Max Dowman. The North London side have been hit hard with injuries this season and Arteta was finally asked if he has to change the way he prepares for games with so many knocks.
"I can feel in my body that I am more aware of it. When I hear a knock at my door I am like... no please!
"It makes you a better coach, you have to be thinking about what if?"
